Hunter leads the EY UK Turnaround & Restructuring Strategy team in Yorkshire and the North East, and has been a Partner at Ernst & Young, LLP for over 20 years. Prior to that, he obtained commercial and transactional experience whilest acting as a Finance Director.
Hunter helps companies facing financial difficulties, and provides practical and deliverable solutions. This consists of accelerated disposals, corporate and debt restructuring and refinancing, improvements to working capital management and operational and strategic change. He has experience in a wide range of sectors including retail, property development, food and drink, distribution, contracting and engineering.
Hunter has a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from The University of Glasgow. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) and the Association of Business Recovery Professionals, and he is a licensed insolvency practitioner.
