Takao is the EY Japan Senior Executive Board Member and Regional Risk Management Leader, contributing to improving audit quality by leveraging his knowledge in accounting and auditing standards. He joined Ernst & Young ShinNihon LLC in 1991 and worked primarily on the audits of listed companies in Japan while also handling accounting and auditing standards.
From 2003 to 2016, he was a member of Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Auditing Standards Committee which develops Japanese Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS). Furthermore, from 2012 to 2015, he was seconded to Accounting Standards Board of Japan which develops Japanese Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). He graduated from Tokyo University in 1991.
