“Earlier in my career, I was part of the 'fly in, fly out' breed of management consultants, and it was only later I realized how much I was missing out on – both for myself and my clients.
This became even more apparent to me, during my time in South Africa for four years, when I co-founded a fintech innovation business. I love South Africa and working there gave me real insight into the challenges that people face, working within an unequal society.
I grew to understand the importance and impact of legacy (seeing the impact on families) and striving to make a difference. It became a real lesson to me in how it’s possible to combine empathy and intuition, while still driving revenue and meaningful growth.
