EY has been named the world’s most attractive professional services employer for the third consecutive year – and the third most attractive employer overall – in Universum’s annual “World’s Most Attractive Employers” ranking. Universum’s 2018 ranking is based on a survey of more than 228,910 business, engineering and IT students from the top academic institutions across 12 of the world’s largest economies.

In this year’s survey, EY was ranked #1 professional services employer in four countries: US, Canada, Russia and India. Additionally, this year, EY has improved its ranking by 24% on Universum’s top 50 list of global employers for engineering and IT students, moving up from number 49 to number 37 overall. Last year was the first time EY was named in Universum’s top 50 ranking for engineering and IT students.

Mark Weinberger, EY Global Chairman and CEO, says:

“Being viewed as a top global employer among business, engineering and IT students recognizes our commitment to create a best in class experience for EY people and to help them reach their full potential — both personally and professionally. At EY, we’re focused on providing an exceptional experience for 260,000 people, who help clients address new challenges and realize our purpose of building a better working world every day. We are thrilled to be named the world’s most attractive professional services employer by Universum for the third consecutive year, and the third most attractive employer overall.”

Last year, EY also introduced new programs to prepare for the future of work, including LEAD, a new global model for career development and performance, and a digital credentials program known as EY Badges to help EY people cultivate skills related to emerging technology, innovation and sectors. Today, more than 15,000 EY Badges have been initiated and more than 2,800 EY Badges have been earned.  Data visualization and robotic process automation (RPA) are the most-earned badges to date.

Investments in emerging technology and new workforce programs are equipping EY people with the in-demand technical skills they will need to grow their careers and help clients overcome their toughest challenges. We’re incredibly proud to be recognized in Universum’s annual ranking once again and thrilled that business, engineering and IT students around the world continue to see the value of the EY experience.”
