Andrei Eftimie | Strategy and Transactions, Associate Partner
Andrei joined EY as Associate Partner in the SaT (Strataegy and Transaction) line being responsible for Capital Debt Advisory in Central and Southeast Europe. Andrei has a regional mandate. He will lead the effort of developing a network of alternative sources of capital (private debt funds, hedge funds, family offices and other institutional investors) to supply funding for EY-originated transactions in the region. He will interact actively with local CDA teams to source investment opportunities, which will be presented to prospective debt and quasi-equity investors. Funding of event-driven transactions from direct lending private sources is prevalent in the Western markets (U.S. and Europe) and we are seeing increased interest for the CSE region from several funds. This funding source will become even more important for the CSE region in the years to come. Therefore, there is a tremendous opportunity to grow the CDA business in the region by helping EY’s clients access alternative sources of capital.
