Introduction to Transfer Pricing

Fully Booked

A repeat ‘Introduction to Transfer Pricing’ event will be scheduled at a later date this year.

------

Transfer pricing rules and regulations around the world continue to grow in number and complexity. In recent years, transfer pricing (TP) controversy has increasingly constituted a major part of global tax controversy matters. Among the reasons for this development is international pressure to deal with perceived tax avoidance by multinational groups, the increased access to information that enables the audit of the full value chain and the pressure to increase tax revenues by often exploiting intra-group transactions' audits.

On this basis, TP controversy issues are likely to continue to increase rather than reduce. Practitioners need to have current knowledge of TP requirements and TP approaches as well as available TP tools in order to manage risks associated with their TP affairs. The seminar will discuss aspects of TP rules of relevance to multinationals with Maltese subsidiaries.

Outline

• What is Transfer Pricing

• Risks and Opportunities

• Managing TP affairs: A Proactive approach

• Interdependencies of Transfer Pricing with other direct and indirect tax areas
