The Enterprise Risk Management Framework: An Overview

The Enterprise Risk Management Framework: An Overview

Session Outline

Organisations know that risk can come from every angle — upside, downside and outside — and can be hard to see, anticipate and respond to. Organisations should develop a framework that embraces these risks and share risk intelligence to generate value through innovation that gives them a competitive advantage.

The interplay between upside and downside risk is important to understand the long-term decisions being made to mitigate risk and how that impacts an organisation’s ability to meet its future business strategy and objectives.

The session will delve into the 3 distinct phases for developing and implementing a sound Enterprise Risk Management Framework and is intended to increase awareness for developing a risk culture across an organisation’s 3 lines of defence. The session will also delve into how an effective internal audit function assists companies in ensuring that key – emerging and current – risks are adequately monitored and mitigated.

Who should attend

Business owners, managers and employees working within either of the 3 lines of defence who are keen to understand better how they can contribute to introducing/developing further the risk function within their organization as well as managers/team members who would like to understand better how they could approach and treat risk within their role at their place of work.
