Song Hoi-See

Plaza Premium Lounge Management Ltd

Song Hoi-see, founder of Plaza Premium Group, transformed the airport hospitality industry by establishing the Plaza Premium Lounge in the Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong International Airports in 1998, thereby introducing the world’s first pay-in/ independent airport lounge for all travellers, regardless of airline or class of travel. Determined to “do something for the majority”, Song changed the perception that airport lounges are reserved for premium travellers only.

Headquartered in Hong Kong, Plaza Premium Group comprises four core premium airport services: airport lounge (Plaza Premium Lounge), airport transit hotel (Aerotel), airport meet & greet service (Allways) and airport dining. Two decades on, the Group is now the benchmark and global specialist for bespoke premium airport services in over 160 locations, 42 international airports in 21 countries, serving over 14 million passengers annually.

To mark its 20th anniversary this year, Plaza Premium Group launched Plaza Premium First in the Hong Kong International Airport in July. This exclusive brand redefines the airport lounge experience with personalised hospitality, curated to meet elite travellers’ discerning needs. The Group also recently introduced Aerotel Kuala Lumpur, the airport hotel offering flexible booking hours, in the KLIA2 Terminal of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). Upcoming lounge locations include China, Australia, Indonesia, Philippines and the Middle East.
