EY announced today that it has appointed Farah Rosley as the new Malaysia Tax Markets Leader in Ernst & Young Tax Consultants Sdn Bhd (“EY”), effective 1 October 2020. As the Tax Markets Leader, Farah will be tasked with driving the effective implementation of the Tax Market strategy, as well as strengthening the EY brand. Working strategically with other leaders in the EY member firm in Malaysia, Farah will help position the Malaysia Tax Services to accelerate growth and market share.
Farah has more than 20 years’ experience managing corporate tax engagements across a variety of sectors; conducting feasibility studies; reviewing incentive packages; as well as negotiating and securing special incentive packages. She has also been involved in special government initiatives and studies on tax matters and has lent insights into government policies for specific sectors.
Farah joined Ernst & Young Tax Consultants Sdn Bhd as a Partner in 2013 and has contributed significantly to building a portfolio of clients. She is currently the Malaysia Tax Global Compliance and Reporting Leader at Ernst & Young Tax Consultants Sdn Bhd, a position she will continue to hold, and also the Client Service Partner for a number of the organization’s key accounts. As a practitioner, Farah has led EY teams in providing Tax services, mentoring and empowering them to achieve engagement goals.

Farah is the current President of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia. She is also a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), and is a licensed tax agenct with the Ministry of Finance, Malaysia. Farah holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Hull, United Kingdom.
