EY’s online financial planning software for startups and scaleups prevailed as the big winner on the fourth edition of IMA’s Corporate Recognition Award!
EY Finance Navigator is the winner of the Corporate Recognition Award 2019. The award was presented by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) in recognition of companies that are progressive in the field of innovation in accountancy and finance.
Various progressive finance and accountancy initiatives were reviewed by the jury of the Corporate Recognition Awards, but EY’s online financial planning software for startups and scaleups prevailed as the big winner. The EY Finance Navigator is a corporate start-up that was founded in 2017 and has since sold more than 800 licenses in 50 countries.
The leader of EY Finance Navigator, Alexandros Matthiessen, founded the project together with two colleagues (Lars Vereijken and Wout Bobbink) as a result of an innovation program within EY.
Matthiessen states: “One out of three failed startups, is a result of financial issues. We think this number is way too high! We want to offer entrepreneurs worldwide a digital solution to support them and to help them grow, not only in mature phases, but also in the early phases when establishing a company.”Matthiessen is a CMA (Certified Management Accountant), the certification of IMA that is recognized worldwide as a quality mark for finance competencies.
It is the fourth time that IMA has presented the Corporate Recognition Award during its annual "The Future of Finance" event. “We want to bring the contribution and innovations of Dutch financial professionals to light. The EY Finance Navigator enriches our profession by making financial advice accessible to a target audience that greatly needs it,” says Alain Mulder, Director of European Operations Institute of Management Accountants (IMA).
