Financial modelling support for startups

To help startups prepare for fundraising and to improve cash management, EY can provide support with financial modelling. We can review existing models or guide startups in building a model from scratch using EY Finance Navigator or Excel.

Prepare your startup for fundraising or improve your company’s financial planning using our financial modelling support

Are you planning to raise funding for your startup soon? Or do you want to improve your (company’s) financial planning and cashflow management capabilities? For both, creating a financial model provides a lot of insight.

Creating a financial model will help you:

  • Find out whether your startup can become a sustainable and viable business in the long run
  • Prepare for fundraising and discussions with investors
  • Better understand the future financial impact on your company of strategic decisions you make today
  • Better anticipate expected cash flow, helping you foresee when you need external funding (and how much) to fill future cash flow gaps

Perhaps you have already built a financial model, by using our EY Finance Navigator software or Excel, and you would like us to perform a review. Perhaps you still need to prepare your financial model from scratch, for instance as part of your business plan or investor memorandum, and you would like us to guide and challenge you in the process of creating your model.

In both cases, the EY Finance Navigator team can help. The EY Finance Navigator team has several years of experience supporting startups and scale-ups specifically with financial modelling and fundraising. Over the past years we have supported entrepreneurs in over 80 different countries with creating their financial models, by using our EY Finance Navigator software, Excel models, workshops and consulting.
