EY Capital Structure & Restructuring Conference, 5th edition

Two years ago the COVID-19 pandemic shocked booming economies and businesses. Extraordinary measures undertaken by governments, financial institutions and companies helped to tackle the new situation. However, in February 2022 the hopes for entering the path of full recovery were shattered by the Russian invasion in Ukraine.

With inflation at the historically highest levels and oil and gas prices skyrocketing, the adverse impact of sanctions imposed on Russia and the expected impact on crops and food markets, many businesses have to revisit their business models and undergo restructuring. The strategies they pursue will determine whether they will succeed in their struggle with the “new reality”.
