Amitava is the EY Asia Pacific Markets and Deal Origination Leader for Strategy and Transactions. His previous roles include Head of Advisory Services and Member of Singapore Leadership Team at a professional services firm; the CEO of Investment Banking Asia Pacific (excluding India) for a leading Indian investment bank; and board director and international CEO for a US$1 billion services group.
Amitava specializes in strategy, M&A, fundraising, restructuring, buyout, and private equity-related activities. He has successfully completed transactions valued in excess of US$10b.
Amitava is a gold medalist of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a passed finalist of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in the UK. He has worked in India, the UK and Singapore.
