Sebastian is a Partner within Strategy and Transactions – Financial Services of EY in Romania. He has more than 21 years of experience in audit, business advisory and transaction services in Romania, Moldova and the United States.
He has been involved in the auditing and consulting of a large number of Romanian companies and international banks, present on the Romanian market. He was leading the IFRS 9 projects for several major banks in Romania and he was involved in significant number of AQR projects both from regulators’ side and from banks’ side.
Sebastian is leading Strategy and Transactions Financial Services and has a broad experience in due diligence and transaction services assignments, supporting local international banks and private equity funds in their strategy for entering or exiting the Romanian financial services market. He worked as a consultant for strengthening the financial reporting and MIS systems of financial institutions, implementation of the loan loss provision methodologies, back-testing methodologies and credit risk models.
He is also currently leading Strategy and Transactions Financial Services – advanced analytics team building disruptive solutions using new technologies to address various issues faced by the financial services clients.
He is a graduate of the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Insurance.
Sebastian is also a member of the UK Association of Chartered Certified Accountants since 2003 and member of the Chamber of Financial Auditors in Romania (CAFR). He has extensive knowledge in the financial services industry such as: banking, insurance, pensions, asset management and leasing clients.
