When you thrive, we thrive. This year, Nordic Wellbeing Week will celebrate EY’s global wellbeing strategy on 11-14 October to highlight the mental, social, physical and financial wellbeing of our people. We will be hosting a combination of specialist webinars accessible to all EY people in the Nordics while promoting some of the resources available locally to support your wellbeing. Our employees are our number one priority at EY and we hope that our Wellbeing Week can give you inspiration, food for thoughts and tools to increase your wellbeing.

Mental Health session with Richard Martin: To mark the World Mental Health day we are going to hear from mental health writer and campaigner Richard Martin of workplace consultancy Byrne Dean. Richard spent the first part of his career as a successful London lawyer before burnout and serious mental illness left him in hospital and with a two year recovery. He now works with organisations around the world to instil the importance of looking after our mental health and to challenge the status quo so we can work and live more healthily and effectively. In this session Richard will share some of his own experience of illness and recovery as well as some of the learnings he gained along the way.

Resilience & Recovery class with Virve Larkiala: As we know from sports and supercompensation: there is no high performance without a recovery i.e. return to a normal state of health, mind, or strength. This is true also for us working as professionals, requiring daily top performance from our brain and cognitive skills – we too need to recover. As it is not something that happens on its own join this session to find out a bit more about reasons behind this statement as well as a practical, easy and fast way to help yourself to recover and reset your body and mind to the rest of the day.

Hybrid Working Model session with Bjørn Vihovde and Eva Tuominen: In what ways is the new Hybrid Working Model beneficial to our Employees in the Nordics? How do we make leaders ready to work with teaming and belonging in this landscape? And how do we bring the Hybrid Working Model to our clients and how can they benefit from this concept? Listen in to a conversation with our Nordic Talent Leader Bjørn Vihovde and PAS partner Eva Tuominen on their views on how the Hybrid Working Model can help us build a better working world for all.

Cuckoo session with Sofia Lovelock: Energise your workdays with Cuckoo Workout − a mini break exercise/mindfulness app! Did you know that we have a mini break exercise/mindfulness app called Cuckoo Workout available for all EY people in the Nordics? Cuckoo provides access to hundreds of 2−3-minute body maintenance and mindfulness exercises designed by physiotherapists and wellbeing experts. You will be able to create a profile, earn points and keep track of your progress, challenge colleagues for mini competitions and participate in other regular challenges. Please join this session to learn more about how to use Cuckoo and also how to benefit from Cuckoo in a hybrid working world! If you haven't already, create your Cuckoo profile here (EY Help Nordic).

Yoga class – Virta: VIRTA yoga is tailored to the needs of workers who spend a lot of time sitting on the computer. During the yoga class we focus a lot on opening and strengthening the body through traditional yoga asanas. Also the breath is an important part of the practice. The class ends with relaxation, allowing the mind to rest and calm down. Stress levels decrease and the parasympathetic nervous system is activated. All you need for the class is a yoga mat / mat, sportswear (no shoes) and an open mind. No previous experience in yoga is required!
