At this event, we will share the essential factors that companies should take note of to successfully navigate the way forward amid the evolving financial and economic climates. The dramatic capital outflows witnessed at the start of the global pandemic and recent turbulence in capital flows to some emerging markets following the war in Ukraine are stark reminders of how volatile capital flows can be — and the impact this can have on economies. Capital flows in Singapore averaged S$7,221.82m from 1986 until 2022, reaching an all-time high of S$101,647.30m in the second quarter of 2022. The Singapore Government has in place various schemes and incentives to attract specific targeted activities and investments. At this session, we will share an overview of the incentives that are relevant to businesses looking to use Singapore as a base for their finance and treasury activities, and the key considerations in availing of such incentives.
