We summarize our observations on the EAR for entities listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX), and other industry and regulatory updates.
In this issue, we summarize our observations on the EAR for entities listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX). These are based on more than 400 auditor’s reports of SGX-listed entities for financial year ended 31 December 2017. We compared the current year observations to those made during the first year of EAR implementation to determine if anything has changed.
We also discuss Singapore companies’ capital confidence, and review the revised Code of Corporate Governance issued by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) in August 2018 and other regulatory updates.
