EY welcomes 20 new partners in the MENA region; number of promoted female partners triples

Dubai, 29 July 2019. EY announces the admission of 20 new partners to its service lines and industry sectors across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, bringing the total number of partners in the MENA practice to 218.

EY announces the admission of 20 new partners to its service lines and industry sectors across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, bringing the total number of partners in the MENA practice to 218. The number of females promoted to partner in 2019 has tripled from those announced in 2018.

The new MENA partners are based in EY offices in Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, joining the Advisory, Assurance, Strategy and Transactions, and Tax practices.

First female nationals join EY partnership in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE

The number of females promoted to partner has tripled from last year, with three becoming the first female nationals in their respective countries to join the EY partnership. Heba Wadie, an Egyptian national, has been promoted to partner in the Egypt Tax practice, Esraa Albuti, a Saudi national, was promoted to partner in the Saudi Tax practice, and Emirati Wardah Ebrahim has been promoted to partner in the Assurance practice in the UAE.

Over 700 new partner promotions announced worldwide

EY announces that 733 people have been promoted to partner across the globe. For the fifth consecutive year, women and emerging markets represent nearly a third of this year’s new partner class, at 30% and 33% respectively. Similarly, audit once again represents nearly a third of new partners, at 28%.
