I believe that success lies both in how well we perform in the market and how much good we do in the community. A better working world is one in which all can participate.

Carolina leads mentoring programs across the Americas at EY, such as College MAP, Strive for College and Cyberchase. She joined this practice in 2012 and in her current role, Carolina oversees skills-based volunteerism opportunities that support mentoring and education in underserved and underrepresented communities.

Like many College MAP Scholars, Carolina is a first-generation college graduate and attributes her dedication to education to her Mentor.

Because I had a Mentor, I applied for college, received a full scholarship, attained a degree and am now doing a job I could only dream of at a company I absolutely love.

Carolina has served on the Advisory Board for Mentoring at Barnard College, and co-leads the College Persistence working group — a network of nonprofit organizations advancing college access and persistence in New York.

Carolina has a BA in English from Columbia University.

How Carolina is building a better working world

“I’m building a better working world by empowering our people to bring their experience and expertise directly into classrooms, encouraging young people to elevate their aspirations, explore careers and pursue their dreams. As high-performing professionals, EY volunteers take the distinctive services and competencies they use every day and put them to work in the communities that need them most.

There’s a broader benefit, too.

I believe that EY’s success lies both in how well we perform in the market and how much good we do in the community. A better working world is one in which all can participate.”
