EY Thailand’s 2020 Annual Japanese seminar was held in webinar format amid Covid-19: Building resilience for the future

EY Bangkok Office held an annual seminar in webinar format for Japanese clients on 11 September 2020. The webinar was attended by 90 Japanese clients.

Taro Kuramochi and Daisuke Nomura started the seminar with Key accounting and reporting issues in an economic downturn, followed by Hiroyuki Shimamori’s Enterprise Resilience and Business Continuity Management. Then, Toshio Yabe showcased the latest on Merger and Acquisition trends. Lastly, Hirohisa Furuse and Mie Ebashi gave an overview of Thailand key tax update.

Two speakers joined from EY Japan remotely, namely, Hiroyuki Shimamori, Partner/Enterprise Risk Leader of EY Japan, and Toshio Yabe, Partner/Managing Director of Ernst & Young Transaction Advisory Services Co., Ltd. It is the sign of the times that EY could come together with insights in multiple fields across the world instantaneously.

The webinar was followed by private consultation sessions on 14 September 2020, which were attended by 10 companies. EY Bangkok’s JBS team, led by Wichart Lokatekrawee, Yupa Wichitkraisorn, and Kusuma Vivattanaprasert, has held annual seminars for EY Thailand and EY Japan clients since 2002.
