EY acted as advisor to GEO ALLIANCE PARTNERSHIP LLC during the preparation and signing of the hydrocarbons sharing agreement for the Sofiivska block.
Geo Alliance group companies won the tender for the right to sign the hydrocarbons production sharing agreement for the Sofiivska block and engaged EY as counsel for the agreement drafting and its signing with the State of Ukraine. The work on project started in August 2019, and on 31 December 2020 the agreement was signed.
EY team participated in drafting of production sharing agreement and advised on tax, customs, currency control and financial aspects of the transaction.

In 2019, tenders for nine production sharing agreements for hydrocarbon production in Ukraine were held. We are pleased to remind that EY also advised Vermilion Energy on PSAs for Balakliivska and Ivanivska blocks, a DTEK Group company on the PSA for the Zinkivska block and Aspect Energy on the PSA for the Varvynska block.
