You’ll work closely with colleagues across borders, using EY tools and networks to solve complex business and tax problems. By combining the power of EY’s tax experience with innovative technology, you can help us transform the tax function of the future.
What will you be doing?
- Working across various specialist tax teams within UK & Ireland
- Working directly on tax reporting, technical research and data analysis alongside senior colleagues
- Building important relationships with clients
Are you eligible to apply?
We operate an open access to all policy and we don’t screen out any applications only on your academic performance at GCSE or A-Level. However, you’ll need a minimum of Grade B/6 in GCSE Maths and Grade C/4 in GCSE English (or equivalent). You will also need a minimum of 96 tariff points (UCAS new tariff points for entry to Higher Education) from any A Level subject combination. It is important that you provide us with your top three obtained or accurately predicated A-Levels (or equivalent) as these will be verified and considered as part of the offer process should you be successful. Any drop in grades could jeopardise your offer of employment.

Level 5 Diploma and professional qualification as a member of Accounting Technicians Ireland (ATI) and the potential to progress to qualification as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland (CIA).

How’s it structured?
Developing your understanding of local and international tax laws is at the heart of this apprenticeship. After an EY induction you’ll join your team where you will specialise in a particular area of Tax. Wherever you’re based, you’ll be learning on-the-job, have access to coaching and training opportunities and lots of support from your team, too.
This apprenticeship is a two-year programme and runs for one day in college (term time) and the rest with your team.
During year one of your apprenticeship you will cover the following modules:
- Financial Accounting
- Taxation
- Business Law
- Business Management
During year two of your apprenticeship you will cover the following modules:
- Advanced Financial Accounting
- Advanced Taxation
- Management Accounting
- Financial Data Management
Over the course of the apprenticeship you’ll build invaluable business skills and knowledge that will ready you for a brilliant career, wherever you set your sights.
