Amali de Alwis
Managing Director, Microsoft for Startups UK
Amali is MD of Microsoft for Startups UK, which supports the growth of the best business-to-business tech start-ups with Microsoft support. Before joining Microsoft, she was the CEO of the coding training programme Code First: Girls - an award-winning training company focused on increasing diversity in the technology sector.
Amali is a board member at Ada National College for Digital Skills, a member of the diversity & inclusiveness board at the Institute of Coding and an advisory board member at the Founders Academy.
She is a founding member at Tech Talent Charter, and a CommonwealthFirst business mentor. In 2019, Amali was awarded an MBE in the New Year's Honours list for services to diversity and training in the tech industry.
