David Calder

David Calder is the CEO of Adarma, one of the largest independent security services companies in the UK. 

Adarma provides value to customers by empowering them to better manage risk from malicious actors against their business and their customers. This is provided through well-considered, managed and professional services solutions that are designed to be easy to consume, transparent and relevant to the business. 

With a degree in computer science, David had a career in IT security in the UK banking industry which saw him become Global Head of Threat Management for one of the biggest banks in the world.  He joined Vacta, a small security consultancy, becoming CEO in 2013 and leading the business on its growth journey to becoming Adarma..    

During his time in the business, David has led Adarma through an MBO, and focused the business on threat management, which has grown into a significant market with relatively few competitors. Decisions like these helped the business grow from a 12-person startup to one of the UK’s largest security service suppliers with almost 300 employees. Their clients are successful FTSE 350 organisations from all industry sectors.
