Phil McDonnell
Member of the EY Commercial and Digital Law team, also handling antitrust and EU law. Former English high jump record holder but exercise now limited to looking after the garden.
Phil is an Associate Partner within EY UK&I Law team. He is a recognised competition lawyer with 30 years of UK and international experience.
Phil is also an experienced commercial contracts lawyer with a particular understanding of supply chain arrangements and inward investment. He advises on competition law, merger control and EU state aid; EU law and Brexit related matters; commercial law particularly around business and supply chain transformation, e-commerce, cross border trading arrangements (distribution, agency, franchising, etc.) and inter-company agreements in a post-BEPS environment; ethical business practices and compliance. He advises in many sectors including pharmaceuticals / health, fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), chemicals, air transport and research and development.
Having joined EY in May 2016, Phil previously worked in Brussels, New York, Washington DC and Hong Kong.
Phil is a graduate of the University of Oxford (BA Hons (First Class) Jurisprudence)
