Digital twin is an important capability that is set to transform manufacturing. Data is key, and data quality and governance are critical; work to ensure you add sensors to augment data. Waterfall is dead, so you need to be agile, which means rapid prototyping with bi-weekly sprints. While experimentation is important, a first-to-scale approach trumps everything and quick wins are key to building momentum. You should also define a scalable and comprehensive architecture and technology stack and remember: an integrated approach to Operational Technology — Information Technology (OT-IT) upfront security is critical. Finally, co-create and co-innovate with your ecosystem and business partners to help maximize possibilities.
