About the competition
The search for the 2019-2020 EY Corporate Finance Woman of the Year has completed.
The first phase of the global competition takes place at the local country level. We will challenge your ability to think critically and to come up with creative solutions for complex problems. You will undertake both group and individual challenges, to give you the opportunity to demonstrate how you can contribute to a high-performing team.
A winner will then be selected for each country and will be invited to attend the global final to represent their country in Rome in early 2020. Finalists will work together to solve problems for a real client, culminating in an evening of celebration where we will announce the 2020 EY Corporate Finance Woman of the Year. Participating in the competition will provide you with new experiences, build your confidence, increase your network and help kick-start your career.
The global winner will embark on an all-expenses-paid once-in-a-lifetime EY internship. The month-long experience will take the winner across the globe to work with EY TAS teams in multiple locations as they help clients build a better working world.

The competition is split into three stages. Throughout, we will be looking for evidence of a well-articulated career purpose and analytical strength — as well as the practical skills that will distinguish you in the competition.
Stage 1: application
To be considered for this opportunity, you must submit your formal application by October 15, 2019, or you can apply using your school’s online recruiting system (competition announcement with instructions to apply will also be posted there) and EY’s candidate preference link. Note that applications are now closed for the 2019 event.
Eligible applicants will have a GPA of 3.2 or higher, and must submit the following:
- Resume and unofficial transcript
- Answers to a short set of questions, via pre-recorded video (which will be sent to you following your initial application)
Submit an application that stands out above the rest and you will become the selected winner to represent your school at the US country competition taking place December 2019 in Florida!
Stage 2: US country competition
In the second stage, each school winner will be invited to Florida in December 2019 to compete in the national competition where you will participate in individual and group activities. The country winner, second and third place winners will receive an internship opportunity in their local EY office. The country finalist wins a place in the global final.
