Succeeds Julia Poston, who has successfully led the market since 2008

Today, the professional services firm Ernst & Young LLP announced Jeremy Vaughan as its new Cincinnati Office Managing Partner, effective April 1, 2020. He will succeed Julia Poston upon her upcoming retirement.

Vaughan will lead approximately 400 local professionals in the Cincinnati office by developing and engaging its people, creating high-performing teams, driving market leadership across service lines and enhancing the EY brand. He will help enable the Cincinnati office — which recently moved into the renovated top two floors of Atrium Two in downtown Cincinnati — to continue to provide exceptional client service and further the firm’s purpose of building a better working world.

“With Julia at the helm, the firm established itself as a go-to resource in the Ohio Valley to address today’s business challenges. As Jeremy steps into his new role, we have full confidence he will continue to lead our clients and people through today’s transformative age,” said Julie Boland, EY Vice Chair and Regional Managing Partner – US-Central. “Jeremy has a long history with our firm and is passionate about not only growing our local markets and industry sectors, but also the professional development of our people. He’s an invaluable asset, and we’re thrilled he’s taking on this important role.”

Poston, who started her career in 1982 as a staff auditor, retires in June with a legacy that includes over 35 years of public accounting experience. Throughout her time at Ernst & Young LLP, Poston has held numerous leadership positions, including the Cincinnati/Dayton Office Managing Partner, Assurance Leader for the firm’s Ohio Valley Region and the Central Region Center for Board Matters Leader, as well as being a member of the firm’s Partners Advisory Council, Gender Equity Taskforce and Diversity & Inclusion Committee.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to lead the Cincinnati office and hope to further the significant and impactful initiatives Julia led,” said Vaughan. “Fostering a strong environment for professional development is extremely important to me and for the EY organization. It gives our employees the chance to continuously learn and grow in order to better serve our clients.”

Vaughan has over 25 years of consulting experience with global companies, spending the first 15 years in Europe, where he was born. He has been based in Cincinnati since 2010. He has deep experience in business transformation, restructuring and process improvement projects in the consumer sector. Vaughan is a key leader in the EY organization’s US and Global Consumer sector teams, focusing on the needs of clients in today’s transformative age.

Vaughan lives in Indian Hill with his wife, Louise, and their four children. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Nottingham. He is also a qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
