Collaboration focused on helping organizations proactively address cyber attacks with improved visibility into data

New York, 24 February 2020 – Ernst & Young LLP (EY US) has formed an alliance with Splunk Inc., provider of the Data-to-Everything Platform™, to support enterprises in leveraging data throughout their organizations to transform their cybersecurity capabilities.

The alliance combines EY US experience across the globe and market leadership in cybersecurity with the Splunk’s® Data-to-Everything Platform, which provides businesses with a complete view of data across their organizations in real time for faster insight into potential security threats, with automated response at machine speed.

Under the alliance, EY US will provide experience in cybersecurity consulting with a footprint across the globe, while Splunk will provide its software, including:

1. Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud, which manage machine data at scale and speed to help organizations with real-time insights needed to boost productivity, security, profitability and competitiveness

2. Splunk Enterprise Security, an analytics-driven Security Information and Event Management platform that provides insight into machine data generated from security technologies such as network, endpoint, access, malware, vulnerability and identity information and enables organizations to identify, prioritize and manage security events with event sequencing, alert management, risk scores and customizable dashboards and visualizations

3. Splunk Phantom® Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) platform, which provides intelligent automation to improve analyst efficiency and decrease incident response times. Phantom allows organizations to improve security and better manage risk by integrating processes and tools, together with security operations center functions, including event and case management, collaboration and reporting

David Burg, EY Americas Cybersecurity Leader, says:

“Especially in today’s digital environment and the tremendous growth in data, businesses must be able to more effectively detect, defend and respond to cyber threats targeted to their internal and external operations. Together, EY US and Splunk will help enterprises improve their view of data across their organizations and more quickly identify security threats for faster response to cyber attacks. These improved cybersecurity capabilities will help organizations improve their long-term value to their clients.”

Aziz Benmalek, Splunk Vice President, Worldwide Partners and Channel Chief, says:

“Our connected world is driven by massive amounts of data, and organizations need solutions that can gather insights quickly to reduce risks. Working with EY US, Splunk can help organizations worldwide to collect data from multiple sources and correlate that information to deliver real-time, actionable insights.”
