  • EY Forensic & Integrity Services teams recognized for diversity and global coverage

EY has been named a leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide eDiscovery Services 2021 Vendor Assessment.

The assessment reviews both quantitative and qualitative characteristics that define current market demands and future buyer needs for eDiscovery services. Criteria include a provider’s artificial intelligence and cybersecurity capabilities, global footprint, and the ability to scale globally on demand to meet tight deadlines and handle large data volumes quickly and accurately.

The IDC MarketScape assessment notes that EY Forensic & Integrity Services, as part of which EY provides eDiscovery services, have a global footprint and strategically positioned teams that can handle even the most complex technical matters across every region. The diversity of EY forensics and eDiscovery teams is also praised for the added value it generates for clients. The IDC MarketScape assessment also highlights the seamless transition EY made to fully remote services, as a result of investing in technologies that support remote collaboration across a global network of eDiscovery professional prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Todd Marlin, EY Global Forensic & Integrity Services Technology and Innovation Leader, says:

“Global scale and reach have become even more important during the COVID-19 pandemic. The recognition in the IDC MarketScape assessment is testament to the continuous investment in people, innovation and technology that allows EY to not only meet the needs of today’s market, but also prepare for the future. I am particularly proud that EY teams’ efforts to ensure diversity in our teams, especially through our strong focus on neurodiversity, have also been recognized.”

Ryan O'Leary, Esq., Research Manager for Privacy and Legal Technology at IDC, says:

"The global eDiscovery services companies that were named to the Leaders Category have shifted their focus from just providing document review outsourcing to full scale service across the electronic discovery reference model. EY placed in the Leaders Category in the eDiscovery services market in the IDC MarketScape based on their commitment to customer service, investment in technologies, and global scale. A major key to success in the current eDiscovery services market is acting less like a service provider and more as partner. Service and quality are what sets those named to the Leaders Category apart in this market."
