Clerestory Consulting acquisition enhances the firm’s capabilities in Workforce Advisory, large-scale business transformation and change management

Ernst & Young LLP (EY US) has expanded its capabilities in the workforce transformation business with the acquisition of Clerestory Consulting, a Chicago-based people consultancy firm focused on change management.

Since its founding in 2003, Clerestory Consulting has been an industry leader in delivering human-centric business transformation and M&A integration solutions via its proprietary EMBED℠ change management methodology.

“The disruptive forces of the last two years have made it abundantly clear that people are the true foundation of every business,” said Kim Billeter, EY Americas People Advisory Services (PAS) Leader. “Together with Clerestory, we are excited to help clients put their people at the center of their business strategy, helping them become more adaptable, flexible and agile in the face of rapid change.”

Fifty of Clerestory’s seasoned employees will join the more than 12,000 global PAS professionals. Currently, the PAS practice offers clients comprehensive solutions for its people agenda — including workforce and organization strategy, M&A, HR transformation and technology, reward and performance, culture and change management, employee experience, and integrated mobile talent. This acquisition will deepen those capabilities across the full spectrum of workforce advisory services to meet the evolving business transformation needs of its clients.

“We are thrilled to be joining the EY family and collaborating to build a better working world,” said Linda Toops, Clerestory founder and CEO. “Together we will work with clients to create long-term competitive advantages by aligning the needs of their workforce with those of the business, putting people at the center of the journey.”
