EY Acquires Unemployment Insurance and Tech Innovator Us4U

Ernst & Young LLP (EY US) today announced that it has acquired the business of Unemployment Solutions For You, LLC (US4U), a leading professional unemployment tax technology and claims administration provider.

“Combining Us4U’s proprietary SaaS solution suite with EY's extensive tax planning expertise will help empower employers to control their unemployment claims and costs more effectively,” said Marna Ricker, EY Americas Vice Chair of Tax. “This transaction will facilitate more bundled, value-added service offerings to help businesses benefit from the U.S. Work Opportunity Tax Credit program.”

Eleven of Us4U’s employees will join more than 3,600 professionals within the EY Americas Indirect and State and Local Tax practices, which helps businesses address their tax obligations and resolve tax controversies related to VAT, GST, and customs and excise duties. This transaction deepens capabilities within the EY US Workforce Tax Services group, including verification and technology services and unclaimed property services.
