Governments empower citizens and enable them to thrive. Great public policy is developed from the citizen’s point of view and used to design simple, effective and accessible services. This must be done while keeping the public safe.

How Derek is building a better working world

National defense and security organizations protect citizens, their values and interests. They must be ready to face security challenges and help deliver outstanding operational performance in an affordable way. I enjoy helping clients provide strategic policy objectives so that the women and men who defend us have the services and resources that they need to excel.

More broadly I help government departments to understand their changing operating environment and make the strategic changes necessary to fulfil their mandates effectively through the adoption of new ways of working. This includes the adoption of new business models and technology solutions to help deliver better outcomes.
