Serial Citizen Scientist. Green manicure devotee. Environmental news junkie.

As EY Americas Director of Environmental Sustainability, Leisha is responsible for measuring and managing our carbon footprint across the Americas. Her responsibilities also include sustainability reporting and employee engagement.

In her role, she works closely with our business operations teams as well as EY service lines — Advisory, Assurance, TAS and Tax — on identifying innovative ways to reduce EY greenhouse gas emissions.

Prior to leading our environmental sustainability efforts, Leisha was the CEO of the EY global shared services center in Bangalore India. Before that she served as a corporate tax advisor in the financial, real estate and entrepreneurial/start-up sectors.

How Leisha is building a better working world 

Being gentler on our planet is Leisha’s passion in and outside EY. She created the EY signature program for engaging employees in climate change “EY Earthwatch Ambassadors” program. Leisha sits on the Board of Earthwatch Institute, whose mission is to engage citizens in the areas of climate change, ocean health, wildlife and ecosystems.  She also contributes to various advisory councils as the voice of sustainability (University of Miami School of Business, Miami Dade College School of Sciences).
