Ruth is EY Asia-Pacific Risk Management Leader. She sits on the EY Asia-Pacific Area Operating Executive and the EY Global Risk Management Executive. She also sits on the Claims Committee, chairs the Asia-Pacific Ethics Oversight Group and is a member of the Asia-Pacific Diversity & Inclusiveness Committee.

In addition, she maintains significant client service responsibilities, working as the Engagement Quality Reviewer on a leading Australian telecommunications provider.

In her more than 30 years with EY, her leadership track record includes EY Global IFRS Services Leader based in London, Managing Partner in Melbourne, and EY Oceania Climate Change and Sustainability Services Leader while holding a senior IFRS partner role at Ernst & Young – Australia.

In 2007, she was awarded the Charles Holmes Medal by CPA Australia in recognition of her contribution to the accounting profession in Australia. She attended the University of Cape Town.

In March 2020 Ruth was inducted into the Australian Accounting Hall of Fame in recognition of her services to the accounting profession both internationally and in Australia.

In 2000, Ruth was awarded the inaugural Lynne Sutherland Award for contributing to the development and retention of women and supporting the EY ability to attract and retain talented people. She has been a judge for the Ivan Wingreen Award for Outstanding Mentoring since 2016.
