The EU Whistleblowing Directive: What to know about its global impact

In this webcast, panelists discuss the whistleblowing system and what steps organizations can take to implement it.

By 17 December 2021, any organization operating in the EU with more than 250 employees must implement a local whistleblowing channel in line with EU regulations. By 2023, this reduces to any global organization with more than 50 employees in the EU. Many organizations will think that their “global” whistleblowing systems should be sufficient - but are they? Not if they do not adhere to the EU’s specific requirements. Then, a local, EU-specific whistleblowing system must be implemented alongside any global systems. But how can you be sure your whistleblowing system will be effective in this environment?

In this webcast, we will:

  • Explore the EU Directive’s tenets and how that might impact your business
  • Identify what needs to be done to implement an effective whistleblowing system
  • Reveal how effective whistleblowing systems are more than just a deterrent to fraud
