The global assurance and advisory firm EY announces the appointment of a new Assurance Leader for Uzbekistan
On 1 October, Anvar Azamov took over as EY’s Assurance Leader in Uzbekistan.Anvar has 19 years of experience with ISA audits of local and foreign clients in the fields of banking, leasing, telecommunications and hospitality and in the oil and gas industry in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Ukraine.
Anvar’s projects have dealt with financial statements prepared in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP, including reviews of financial statements required by internal corporate policy, audits of special reports on oil and gas operations under production sharing agreements and audits of special expense reports in the framework of investment agreements.
“In my new role, I can redouble my efforts to develop young professionals and our assurance practice in Uzbekistan,” says Anvar.
Anvar is a member of the National Association of Accountants and Auditors of Uzbekistan as well as a Member of the Board of the American Chamber of Commerce.
