Dr. Toan Nguyen and Dr. Du Tran, the partners of TNK Capital Partners, have joined as Partners leading the Strategy and Transactions practice in EY in Vietnam. With the addition of the TNK Capital Partners team, the enlarged EY team in Vietnam will comprise over 20 professionals who will focus on M&A; Financial, Tax and Commercial Due Diligence; Corporate Finance Strategy; Corporate Restructuring; Valuations and Business Modelling; Infrastructure Advisory; Post-merger Integration; and Divestiture Advisory services.
This move for the TNK Capital Partners team to join EY is part of EY’s broader growth investment plan in its fast-growing Strategy and Transactions service line in Asean, which has a current strength of over 50 Partners and over 500 dedicated professionals delivering connected and commercially focused advice to clients across the region on their deal and capital strategy and transformative activities.

Founded in 2007, TNK Capital Partners is a reputed investment banking advisory firm in Vietnam with specialization in M&A, strategic advisory, market entry, corporate restructuring and private equity. The firm's diverse clients include some of Vietnam's largest and most successful private and government corporations in a variety of industries including IT, telecommunication, education, internet, FMCG, construction and infrastructure, energy and heavy industry.
Dr. Toan Nguyen was the co-founder of TNK Capital Partners. Prior to founding TNK, Toan worked at Au Viet Securities (HCMC, Vietnam) as COO and Asian Development Bank (Manila, Philippines) as an economist. Toan received his Ph.D. in Economics (2004) from New York University.
Dr. Du Tran was the Managing Partner of TNK Capital Partners. Prior to joining TNK, Du served as research economist for ERS Group (US) and lecturer at Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Du received his Ph.D. in Economics (2007) from the University of Texas at Austin.
