Loretta Lee has taken her passion for the environment and turned it into a company worth HK$8b.

In the early 2000s, Loretta led Canvest Environmental Protection Group into the environmental business in Dongguan. In 2003, Canvest began to design, build and operate waste-to-energy plants, which generate electricity from waste incineration. The approach has had a transformative impact on the environment.

The company went public in December 2014. Since listing, Canvest has delivered stellar financial results, consistently achieving net profit growth of more than 30%. Loretta’s determination has seen the company grow to 30 waste-to-energy plants across China.

Loretta remains committed to raising public awareness of environmental protection. In 2018, Canvest opened an award-winning exhibition hall dedicated to educating the public about the benefits of a greener world.
