Acquisition of Skye approved

13.12.2018 EY announced in September the acquisition of Nordic SAP and IBM specialist firm Skye with 140 employees and a turnover in 2017 of NOK195m. The acquisition has now been approved by the Norwegian Competition Authority.

Skye is a leading technology service provider to 125 clients, providing software, consulting and projects. The company has offices in Norway and Sweden. The company’s mission statement is “Skye aims to help businesses into the digital era by moving IT into the heart of the enterprise to maximize utilization of the enterprises’ resources.”

There are more than 1,100 EY Advisory consultants in the Nordics who provide digital services and other consulting services to the private and public sector. The acquisition strengthens EY capabilities in the digital space significantly and will make EY teams better equipped to support clients in digital transformations.

EY entities will acquire 100 per cent of the shares of Skye. Its services will be offered to the market under the name EY Skye. Skye’s management group will remain as is after the acquisition.
