Helping students achieve their potential in China
With support from EY mentors, the China Care Fund is equipping hundreds of underprivileged students to fulfill their potential.
EY people are not only helping students gain a quality education, but showing them care, concern and a vision of what lies beyond their rural environment. Together, I hope we will continue to give these children our support. With it, they will carve out not only their own future but the future of our country.Tso Yeung Arthur, Chairman, China Care Fund
Since 2011, the EY member firm in China has collaborated with the China Care Fund on its “Road to Knowledge” program, helping underserved students to achieve their potential by providing mentorship and raising tuition funds.
The support of EY people has enabled more than 900 students across the Guangxi, Qinghai, Gansu and Guizhou provinces to complete their high school education. This would have been otherwise unaffordable to the families of students in poverty-stricken areas.
Coupled with advice on preparing for university entry examinations, this program is helping to create new opportunities for disadvantaged young people to access a quality education and compete for better jobs to support themselves and their families.
