Value-based health care: The time is now
Market forces are rapidly evolving and changing today’s healthcare ecosystem. This new environment is all about value not volume. Organizations not paralyzed by political and regulatory uncertainty realize that value-based care is here to stay and the time to act on this imperative is now.
Healthcare organizations face competing challenges to balance cost, quality, patient experience and talent. Rising labor, medical device and drug costs are coupled with shifting and shrinking reimbursement sources, which exacerbate the burning platform of financial viability for hospital systems and physician enterprises.
Providers are pressured to prioritize costs over quality, causing many of them to fail at delivering objective consumer value within the industry. With the continued rise of health consumerism and shifting demographics, increasing demands are placed on providers to integrate the patient experience lens in their view of quality.
Join a panel of EY professionals as they discuss:
- Methods for delivering leading-quality health care outcomes that are transparent to consumers and payers
- How to exercise disciplined cost management and cost transparency for both consumers and payers in care delivery
