Survey: "Seeking a closer alignment between entrepreneurship, education and employment"
A new, insightful survey, conducted by EY Greece, the Athens University of Economics and Business and Endeavor Greece, titled “Seeking a closer alignment between entrepreneurship, education and employment” has been launched on 20 June 2017. The survey highlights the need for entrepreneurship and education to align themselves with the country’s new economic growth model.
This survey analyses the new economic and labor market environment and highlights the factors which appear to hinder both businesses and educational institutions from adjusting to the new economic model. It examines entrepreneurs’ views and students’ concerns on this issue, and records 30 best practices currently applied in Greece, which may show the way forward for Greece.
The survey focuses on a series of concrete action items that could contribute to a solution of the problem. A common feature of these proposals is the need for a closer cooperation between companies and educational institutions, aiming at reskilling talent and a shift of emphasis in higher education to the sectors that the economy needs today.
