Have you ever wanted to step into the world of cyber crisis management? Are you a MSc or 3rd year BSc student and interested in cybersecurity? The EY Cyber Challenge 2019 offers you this unique chance!
This is the preliminary round of the EMEIA Cyber Challenge 2019. In the role of a Cybersecurity advisor, your team will be asked - under high time pressure - to assess the current security risks of an international bank. We will provide you with sufficient background information to make sure your analysis and given advise is professional and well argumented. Finally, you will present your advice to a selection of stakeholders of this international bank.
The challenge starts with a local contest in each participating EMEIA country. During this event we will select the winning team that will be representing your country at the finals in Amsterdam during the EMEIA Cyber Challenge on 21 September 2019.
Sign up for the local contest in your participating country as an individual student or with a team of students (max 5 people). If you are interested in breaking into the world of cybersecurity, choose from the options below and sign up as soon as possible! We only have limited spots available.
Find information about the local event such as dates, agenda and contact persons on your country page!
Based on your submission we will select which teams and individuals can participate at the local country event for the first selection round.
We would like to invite the selected candidates and teams to the local office in your participating country. During the Crisis Simulation event we will select the winning team for the EMEIA Cyber Challenge that is hosted in Amsterdam.
We would like to invite the local winning teams to represent your country during our EMEIA Cyber Challenge in Amsterdam on 21 September 2019.

We have selected a winning team that will represent France during the EMEIA Cyber Challenge.
Meet the team who will be representing France.
During the local challenge, you will be joining a half-day competition. After a welcome and a briefing of the Cyber challenge, you’ll work together with your team members (5 members in a team) as an external advisory company. Your team’s task will be to analyze the current risks a large operating bank is facing. Your skills will become visible by asking the right questions to obtain more information and by establishing a remediation strategy to minimize that bank’s exposal to those risks. The highest performing team of each local challenge will be invited to the final EMEIA Cyber war challenge!
Once all teams have been created and invited to the challenge, all teams will receive a briefing pack that includes necessary topics to research.
