Seeking procurement excellence for New Zealand

The New Zealand Procurement Excellence Forum was formed in 2014 with the purpose of lifting the capability of the NZ Procurement Profession to achieve better long-term social, commercial and environmental outcomes for NZ Inc.

The founders of the group recognised that to achieve this we needed to increase the awareness of what great Procurement looks like and how it can contribute to better outcomes for NZ. We needed to tell some of the great stories of achievements across many organisations in both the public and private sectors; to inspire others to raise the bar; to make sure that organisations achieve more than just good practice and compliance through aligning their vast supplier networks’ with their own strategic outcomes and to help business leaders structure and organise their commercial functions to become a core contributor to their success.
