Faster, Higher, Stronger

Teamwork is not only an “office thing” – and we can prove it! There are volleyball, football, basketball and hockey teams at EY. Every week we rent sports courts and arenas, and take it all very seriously – we organize contests between EY service lines and teams and take part in larger events: such as the second Mini-football Charity Tournament held by NGO Perspektiva between corporate teams, the Business Champions League (a corporate hockey championship) and even the Open Hearts Cup 2016 Charity Paintball Tournament.

Gym in the office

We have a special wellness program in the office, which covers various sports projects and provides discounts on fitness club services for every employee. But the most important element is our gym, free of charge for our employees any time of day.

EY Runners Club

Running is probably the most popular sport at our company, and EY actively supports runners. We have an EY Team for every big and small marathon and work closely with the I Love Running club.

One of our favorite events is the Colorful Run in July – 5 km of fun and a “colorful” final when everyone throws dry paint at each other.

The more serious challenge, on the other hand, is the long Autumn Marathon, when EY employees run in support of a charity (DownSide Up, the Amur Tiger Fund, etc). We run in yellow colors and, after reaching the finishing line, we meet for a cup of tea and a chocolate energy bar in our corporate tent with yellow balloons and a support team.

Interesting fact: EY Managing Partner for the CIS Joe Watt is a big fan of running – he takes part in marathons every year and has run as long as 41.1 km!

Since 2014 EY has held a blood donor day once a year. Every employee can be a good citizen by donating blood at a special transfusion facility in the office. Over 100 people donate blood every year at EY. After the donation, employees get a day off and respect from colleagues.

For several years now we have organized lectures and master classes on art, design or even languages in the EY Moscow office. These are called “Smart Tuesdays”, and we invite expert speakers to broaden our horizons.

These lectures are usually open to students too. If a member of staff cannot leave their desk, they can join the lecture online, with their laptop.

Every spring we help to spruce up several parks in Moscow in advance of the new season with our volunteer event Go Green with EY. It is usually around the end of April – when the weather is moderately dry and fine and the long May holidays are nearby. These events are not only useful for the city and parks, they are also a good opportunity to meet colleagues from other service lines and chat informally outside work. Students, volunteers, and graduates are also invited: they can talk with EY employees in a different atmosphere and learn more about the company firsthand.

You have many opportunities to contribute to building a better working world. Every year EY publishes its Corporate Responsibility Report. In addition to that we hold frequent charity events in which everyone can take part.

EY has also been working for several years with the Volunteers Club. Together we help kids in challenging situations. Every year we collect school supplies for kids from children's homes and residential schools to help them get kitted out for the new school year.  We also hold a Donor’s Day every year, attend other charity events and competitions, special events and runs, supervise social rehabilitation organizations and support useful initiatives.
