EY Tax provision workshop 2019
Accounting for income tax – back to basics
One of the most complex areas within a company’s financial statements is accounting for income taxes. Keeping abreast of tax legislation changes is also critical in determining the appropriate tax balances. Constrained by limited resources, the task of “getting the numbers right” has become more challenging, time-consuming and fraught with greater risk than ever before.
Join us at this workshop where we will do a refresher on the key concepts for income tax accounting under the Singapore Financial Reporting Standard 12, including the concepts related to current and deferred taxation. We will go through the accounting presentation and disclosure for income tax in the financial statements. We will also share with you practical experience on tax provisioning and how changes in key tax legislations may affect tax provisioning.
