Welcome to the Accelerate Network, the EY Foundation’s flagship programme for young business leaders, start-ups and social entrepreneurs. Utilising the diverse skills of EY Foundation volunteers and of our community partners, the programme provides mentoring, business training and a network to its members.

“My business has gone from strength to strength and now I have a team of ten. It’s been a real confidence boost to know that people believe in my work. Nick and Hayley [my Accelerate Network mentors] even took time out to climb Snowden as part of a fundraising effort with me. Now that’s commitment!” – Social entrepreneur, Accelerate Network

The foundations for a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem are already well established in the UK, with targeted incentives for investment and research and development, one of the lowest corporate tax rates in the G20 by 2015, and positive interventions like Funding for Lending. But entrepreneurs clearly still face challenges.

Our Accelerate Network aims to help entrepreneurs navigate the organisational and management issues that can come with scaling a business, by using the skills and capabilities of EY Foundation volunteers. If you are interested in signing up to the network e-mail the team at accelerate@eyfoundation.ey.com

Workshops

Accelerate Network workshops are designed to give entrepreneurs the tools and advice they need to grow their organisations by leveraging the vast capabilities of EY Foundation volunteers.

Facilitated learning events cater to entrepreneurs needs, with workshops on a range of business areas including: financial accounting, budgeting and forecasting; managing and growing your workforce; and implementing business change.

Mentoring

We offer our entrepreneurs the chance to work one to one with experienced people from across the EY Foundation network through bespoke mentoring. Mentors use their business skills and financial know-how to help entrepreneurs achieve their goals and increase social impact. They are someone with whom you can share your ideas, concerns and business challenges, and who can offer both practical advice and a listening ear.
