Overview

2017 was an important year for the EY Foundation, and our biggest year of impact so far. Our new impact report, Accelerating our impact: Three years of progress and results – June 2017, outlines how we increased our reach by establishing Scottish and Northern hubs, and launching free employability workshops in addition to our other programmes.

We’re proud of the progress we made from July 2016 to June 2017, with highlights including:

  • supporting 879 young people through Smart Futures, Our Future programmes and employability workshops
  • working with over 2,200 dedicated volunteers
  • supporting 32 social enterprises in London, Scotland, Yorkshire and the North-West
  • raising our first £1 million of independently generated income.

We also published our first thought leadership report, An Age of Uncertainty, the recommendations of which formed the basis of a School to Work campaign that launched in Autumn 2017.

We are more committed than ever to reaching as many young people as possible, enabling them to get a good start to their working lives, and providing employers with the talented, skilled workforce they need.
