2019 IPO activity starts off quietly, but will this trend continue?

Our latest issue of the IPO Eye reveals that London’s public markets saw their quietest quarter for IPO activity since Q1 2011.

Key highlights include:

  • Listings fall to an eight-year low in Q1 2019
  • Between January and March 2019, four Main Market IPOs listed, raising a combined £460m, along with one admission to AIM, raising £21m
  • Global IPO activity also slowed, with a 40% decrease in deals compared to the same quarter last year
  • A healthy pipeline of IPO candidates is waiting in the wings, looking to launch later in 2019
